Wilson L. ``Red'' Beasley Sr., 78, of the 7900 block of Harold St., died Feb. 11, 1997.
Born in Beaufort, N.C., he was the widower of Viola Barker Beasley. He was a retired electrician for Todd Electric Co. with 35 years service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local (NU)80.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen B. Jefferson, Linda B. Chatham and Brenda B. Davenport, all of Chesapeake; two sons, Wilson L. Beasley Jr. and R. Douglas Beasley, both of Chesapeake; a sister, Thelma Haislett of Chesapeake; a brother, James C. Beasley of Virginia Beach; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Violet O'Neil and Doris Bayot.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Clark A. Mahoney. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at other times at 1528 Elm Ave., Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
