Harvey James ``Jimbo'' Smith, 40, of the 100 block of Holly Hill Lane, died Feb. 14, 1997 in Portsmouth.
A native of Suffolk, he was a roofer and a Baptist.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Marie Smith of Suffolk; a son, James E. Smith of Suffolk; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene E. and Edna L. Smith of Suffolk; two sisters, Yvonne S. Curling of Mary Esther, Fla., Theresa S. Richardson of Carrollton, Va.; three brothers, Thomas E. Smith of Suffolk, Joseph T. Smith of Ivor, Va., Steven D. Smith of Portsmouth; paternal grandmother, Miriam Estelle Smith of Portsmouth; and dearest friend, Faye Brinkley of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Scott Ranck. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
