Horace Mitchell Moore Jr., also known as Ameen Ahmad Hasan, of the 2600 block of Cayce Court, died Feb. 18, 1997, in his home.
He was a native of Norfolk and a Naval veteran of peacetime.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Moore; a son, Shaheed M. Gray; three sisters, Audrey Nixon and Rebecca Little of Chesapeake, Edith Moore of Virginia Beach; two brothers, the Rev. Johnnie Rountree of Gates, N.C. and Alexander Moore of Chesapeake; and many other surviving relatives and friends.
Graveside rites will be accorded at 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The procession starts at noon Friday in Fitchett Funeral Home.
