Daisy Cunningham McClanan, of the 5700 block of Cornick Road, died Feb. 19, 1997.
A homemaker, she was a Princess Anne County native and the widow of Linwood C. McClanan. She was a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include daughter, Beatrice C. Ashley of Hampton; son, Joseph W. Cunningham of Virginia Beach; five granddaughters, Amy C. Hutcheson of Virginia Beach, Margaret C. Daniels of Cornwall, England, Susan A. Strousa of Portsmouth, Nancy A. Johnson of Hampton and Lucinda A. Truitt of Sanford, N.C.; five grandsons, James T. Cunningham Jr. of Charlottesville and Michael J. Cunningham, both of Hillsville, Va., Stephen G. Cunningham of Charlottesville, John J. Cunningham of Tampa, Fla., and David A. Ashley of Portsmouth; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. William L. Vann III of First United Methodist Church, Hampton. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
