Berenice Maurine Joyner, 61, of Upperville Road died Feb. 27, 1997.
A native of Norfolk, she was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include her husband, A. Bruce Joyner; two daughters, Sherri Joyner Yoho of Richmond and Alise Marie Winfrey of Chesapeake; two sons, Bruce Wayne Joyner of Omaha, Neb., and Andrew Bland Joyner of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and a nephew, Charles D. O'Connor.
A funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Willowwood Presbyterian Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Frank Drake. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
