RALPH E. HART

Ralph Ernest Hart, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 1997.

Born in Baltimore, son of the late Ernest R. and Carrie Simpson Hart, Ralph served on the USS Earl V. Johnson in World War II and graduated from the College of William and Mary. A talented musician, he sang in The Common Glory, W & M Choir, SPEBSQSA, his church choir, numerous other groups and performed as a soloist. Active in Little Theater, he was also a competition ballroom dancer. He spent many years in civil service and later worked for local hotels.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth Hart Gray; three nephews, William G., Robert E. and James K. Gray; and a number of cousins.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Broad Street United Methodist Church. The remains will rest at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Broad Street U.M.C. Memorial Fund or a favorite charity. Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home, Richmond, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
