Ann Woolford Powell, 56, died Feb. 1, 1997, in her home.

Mrs. Powell was a daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah Woolford of Richmond and was born Oct. 13, 1940, in Williamston, N.C. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Artworks.

Survivors include her husband, Bev Powell; her daughters, Lisa Powell, Michele Edwards, both of Euless; her sons, Evan Powell of San Antonio, Texas, Shawn Powell of Fort Bragg, N.C.; and her sister, Nancy Woolford of Boxford, Mass.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the gravesite in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. H. Vance Mann III. Memorials may be made to the American Caner Society, 902 Pennsylvania Ave., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
