Mrs. Ruby Chapman Wescott, a native of Norfolk, died March 7, 1997, in Jacksonville.
Born Nov. 7, 1898, she was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy, VA Chapter, Picket Buchanan Chapter 2. She had been in Florida since the early 1950s, running motels in Daytona Beach with her late husband, Albert. They were residents of Jacksonville for many years.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Albert R. and Marguerite Wescott; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
