ELEANOR POWELL

Eleanor Powell, 92, formerly of the 5300 block of Pandora Ave. in Virginia Beach, died March 15, 1997, in Lafayette Villa Health Care.

Mrs. Powell was born in Princess Anne County and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. She was a homemaker and the widow of Jim Powell.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Christine Thigpen Bullock; two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Buddy Brinkley; a god-daughter, Cynthia Horten; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C. Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of the granddaughter, Christine Thigpen Bullock, 940 Craten Road, and will assemble there for the procession to the church at 11 a.m. E.A.
