ROSA R. CHESTNUTT

Rosa Jane Rogers Chestnutt, 77, of the 400 block of Thomas St., died March 14, 1997, in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Greenville County, Mrs. Chestnutt was the daughter of the late Wade Banks and Maddie Ridley Dunn. She was a homemaker and widow of Luvie Chestnutt. She was a member of Pleasant Plain Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Woodrow Rogers Jr., Ezekiel Rogers and John Rogers; five daughters, Annie Hendricks, Beatric Hendricks, Christine Pottger, Hazel Lassiter and Rosa Boyd; 22 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Plain Baptist Church by the Rev. Richard Powell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
