Elsie Greene Hall, 79, of the 4200 block of Hatton Point Lane, died March 22, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Hall, a native of Norfolk County, was the daughter of the late Abbie Benson Greene and Mrs. Lelia Ivins Greene, and was the widow of Curry Christian Hall Jr. She was a lifetime member of Monumental United Methodist Church; an associate member of the Elizabeth River Garden Club; a sustaining member of the Portsmouth Service League; and a former member of the Portsmouth Students Club and Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Hall Lusink of Hampton; two sons, Curry Christian Hall III and Earle Greene Hall, both of Hampton; five grandchildren, Katherine Lelia Hall of Blacksburg, Curry Christian Hall IV of Hampton; Brian Mark Lusink and Baxter Hall Lusink, both of Atlanta, Connor Greene Hall of Hampton; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Rae Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Monumental United Methodist Church by the Rev. Raymond H. Edmonds. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery with Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at her home this evening.
