William H. Fentress, 66, died March 22, 1997.
He was born in Norfolk and was the widower of Betty Lou Fentress. Mr. Fentress was a retired tile setter.
Survivors include four daughters, Katherine S. Whitehurst of Portsmouth, Lou Anne Tranquillo of Chesapeake, Laurie J. Pearce and Della M. Hinzpeter, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Thomas A. Fentress of Oregon; two brothers, Richard G. Fentress of Norfolk and Joseph A. Fentress of California; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Dr. Paul C. Lawson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
