Joseph G. Nemetz, 80, died Sunday, March 23, 1997.
A retired U.S. Navy lieutenant commander, he was stationed in Norfolk several times during his 27-year naval career. He was a Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Katherine Nemetz; four daughters, M. Suzanne Moffa, Joelynne D. Ferguson and Nannette K. Baer, all of Harrisburg, and Patrice M. Nemetz-Gardner of Portsmouth; a son, Joseph G. Nemetz II of Chatham, N.J.; a brother, Albert Nemetz of Hermitage, Pa.; a sister, Anne Louise Barardi of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church and burial will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
