MICHAEL S. BANKS

Michael S. Banks, 39, of the 3300 block of Greenwood Drive, died March 20, 1997, in Medical College of Virginia, Richmond. He was a Portsmouth native.

Survivors include his mother, America P. Banks of Portsmouth; seven sisters, Ila Evans, Sheila Banks, Linda Banks, Sheryl Leach, Cynthia Parker, Vera Parker, all of Portsmouth, Joyce Harrell of North Carolina; two brothers, Ronald Banks, Darrell Banks, both of Portsmouth; maternal grandmother, Delia Pimienta of Tampa, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Zion Bethel United Church of Christ, Portsmouth, by the Rev. D.A. Peace. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The body will be placed in the church at noon Wednesday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
