Gertrude H. Herbert, 88, of the 6100 block of Old Point Ferry Lane, died March 23, 1997.
She was born April 5, 1908, and was a retired dietician for the Norfolk School System. She was active with the Red Cross and a volunteer with the Virginia Beach Community Services Board.
Survivors include her daughter, Mildred H. Allen and her husband, Donald P. Allen; three grandchildren, Andrew M. Herbert, Robert G. Carmine, Nellie I. M. ``Maggie'' Albertoni and her husband, John A. Albertoni.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Joy. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seton House, Virginia Beach. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
