RUTH R. FISHER

Ruth Eleanor Reiber Fisher, 75, died March 24, 1997, in a local hospital.

A retired public school teacher, she worked 25 years for the Cedar Grove, N.J., school system. She was a Bloomfield, N.J., native and a member of Providence Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, James S. Fisher; two daughters, Beryl Fisher Hawn of Virginia Beach, Virginia Ruth Fisher of Orange, N.J.; son, Donald James Fisher of Millersville, Md.; sister, Lois Reiber Ferguson of Lake Charles, La.; two brothers, David E. Reiber M.D. of Mount Desert, Maine, and William E. Reiber of Woodstown, N.J.; four granddaughters and a grandson.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Kenneth M. Hicks. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
