REMEMBERING 548 CASES OF CHILD ABUSE

Zachary Jones II, 9, listens to descriptions of abused and neglected

children Tuesday during a candlelight ceremony at Virginia Beach

City Hall. The event, in which 548 candles were lighted to represent

the number of child abuse and neglect cases in the city last year,

was held to raise awareness of abuse. About 150 attended the

ceremony, organized by the Virginia Beach Child Advocacy Network.
