William Thomas Smith, 71, died on Tuesday, March 11, 1997, in a Richmond hospital.
He was born and raised in Portsmouth and was a retired engineer with Allied Chemical in Richmond. He attended Hampden-Sydney College and received an engineering degree from Virginia Tech.
He was predeceased by his parents, Evelyn J. and Morton L. Smith; his wife, Marjorie C. Smith; his brother, Morton Smith; and a sister, Elizabeth S. Graham.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Lee Ozimek of Richmond; a sister, Carolyn S. Annas of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four nieces and six nephews.
A graveside service conducted by the Rev. James Wolfcale will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery, 1000 E. Indian River Road, Norfolk. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
