A Norfolk man has been arrested in the slaying of 19-year-old Benjamin Thomas, who was gunned down over the weekend near the intersection of Chesapeake Boulevard and East Ocean View Avenue.
Homicide investigators J.R. Malbon and J.P. Baron arrested 24-year-old Thomas Clark, of the 7300 block of Gregory Drive, and charged him with murder and using a firearm.
The shooting occurred at 10:35 p.m. Saturday after a dispute between Thomas and Clark, police said, and Clark was taken into custody later that night. Thomas, of the 1300 block of W. 35th St., later died at a hospital, police said. KEYWORDS: MURDER SHOOTING ARREST
