T-bone steaks are $3.99 a pound, mahi-mahi fillets are $5.99 a pound and farm-raised catfish is $3.99 a pound, all at Hannaford. Live lobsters (1 to 1 1/4 pounds) are $6.88 a pound, and medium shrimp are $5.48 a pound at 3 Stores, 1 Roof.
There are still plenty of roast specials available. Boneless shoulder roast is $1.48 a pound at Hannaford. At Rack & Sack, bottomless bottom round roast is $1.48 a pound. Boneless chuck roast is $1.28 a pound at 3 Stores, 1 Roof, and blade beef chuck roast is 87 cents a pound at Farmer Jack.
Other meat specials include family packs of ground beef for 78 cents a pound and Perdue pick of the chicken for 88 cents a pound at Farm Fresh. Rack & Sack offers fresh pork tenderloin for $2.98 a pound. Perdue Oven Stuffer roasters are 58 cents a pound at 3 stores 1 roof. Farmer Jack has Tyson Holly Farms whole fryers for 67 cents a pound.
Produce buys this week include avocados, two for $1 at Farm Fresh, and heads of lettuce, 47 cents each at Rack & Sack. Bananas are 19 cents a pound, yellow or zucchini squash is 43 cents a pound and strawberries are 89 cents a pound at 3 Stores, 1 Roof. Farmer Jack has cantaloupes for 88 cents each, five ears of sweet yellow corn for $1.49, and collards and curly kale at two pounds for $1.
Additional buys include 27-ounce cans of Hunts spaghetti sauce for 88 cents each at Hannaford. Farm Fresh has Sparkle paper towels, two for $1, and 18-ounce Kellogg's Corn Flakes for $1.39. A gallon of Clorox bleach is 69 cents and Oscar Mayer bacon (1-pound package) is $1.78 at Rack & Sack. Kraft cheese singles (16-ounce package) are $2.99 and 16-ounce boxes of Mueller's spaghetti or elbow macaroni are two for $1 at Farmer Jack. ON THE SHELF
