James Manos, 90, of the 100 block of Dumont Ave., died April 6, 1997, in his home.
Mr. Manos was born in Nissiros Dodecanisa, Greece. He was a resident of Norfolk for more than fifty years and a member of Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Norfolk. Mr. Manos was the former owner of the Eagle Restaurant, the Roosevelt Restaurant, Colony Restaurant, Garden Restaurant and the Black Steer Restaurant.
Survivors include his wife, Anna K. Manos of Norfolk; his daughter, Irene M. Narlis of Norfolk; his son, George Manos of Norfolk; a sister, Harriot M. Fillos of New York; and four grandchildren, Anna Narlis Griffin, Michael N. Narlis, James Manos and Mary Manos.
A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation by Father Constantine Rogakos. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. A Trisagion Service will be said today at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
