June Fay Wilson Hurst Allen, 58, of Edgewater Drive, died April 6, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.
Born in Portsmouth, she was a retired employee of K-Mart at Mid City Shopping Center, Portsmouth, and was also a self-employed tax consultant. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Jackson Allen; a daughter, Sheryl Ann Allen Cruden of Poplar Branch, N.C.; three sons, Frederick Martin Hurst Jr. of Norfolk, Frederick William Hurst of Moyock, N.C, Tanner Woodrow Hurst of Manteo, N.C.; three brothers, Dwight Leonard of Richmond, William Bowen of Charleston, S.C., Gary Woodrow Brown of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren; an uncle, Fred Gibson of Portsmouth; a nephew, Charles Floyd O'Dell of Portsmouth. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Woodrow Wilson and June Host Gibson; grandmother, Nellie Host Gibson; and a sister, Patricia Ann Wilson O'Dell.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
