Lewis Eugene Shifflett, 63, of the 500 block of Shenandoah St., died April 7, 1997, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Elkton, Va., he was the son of the late William and Abby Shifflett. He was a retired brickmason and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Judy G. Shifflett; three daughters, Teresa L. Shifflett, Crystal R. Rivenbark, Dawn Marie Johnson; two sons, Anthony E. Lee, Timothy G. Shifflett; two sisters, Joyce A. Blount and V. Marie Cohn; two brothers, J. Earl Shifflett, W. Everette Shifflett; seven grandchildren, Anthony E. Lee Jr., Lisa M. Martin, Kelly M. Lee, Elena M. White, Regan M. Johnson, Jon Reid Johnson and Summer A. Rivenbark. He was predeceased by two sisters, Maggie Rogers and Eva Maxine Shifflett.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Pastor Roger E. Copeland. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
