MARGARET E. JERNIGAN

Margaret Ethel Jernigan, 70, of the 2800 block of E. Washington St. died April 7, 1997, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a native of Suffolk and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Nichols and Carrie Russell Nichols.

She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Albert B. Jernigan of Suffolk; daughters, Carolyn J. Whaley and Charlotte M. Holland, both of Suffolk, L. Faye Warren of Grafton, Va., and Cynthia J. Stephenson of Zuni; son, Kenneth Jernigan of Chesapeake; 10 grandhildren; three great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 1997, in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Cameron Currin Jr. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family in the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
