Rose V. Nickerson, 59, of the 300 block of Monroe Ave., died April 8, 1997, in Virginia Beach.
She was a Christian by faith and an avid bowler in a number of leagues, including the Tuesday Splitters.
Mrs. Nickerson was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Nickerson, and her parents, Marjorie Artman-Ake and Elmer C. Ake. She is survived by five sons, Michael D. Nickerson of Coinjock, N.C., Jeffrey L. Nickerson of Grand Island, N.Y., Walter G. Nickerson of Florida, Claude C. ``J.R.'' Nickerson and Ricky L. Nickerson, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Helen Perkins of Alabama, Iva Croghon and Phyllis McDevitt, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with funeral services following at 6:30 p.m. in Altmeyer Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
