Mrs. Lela Borrell Teele, 76, of the 800 block of Park Ave. died Monday, April 7, 1997, in North Carolina Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill.

Mrs. Teele was a Halifax County native and a former LPN at Guardian Care of Roanoke Rapids and the widow of Randolph M. Teele.

Mrs. Teele is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Nathan R. Teele and Daphney P. Teele of Suffolk and Steve W. Teele and Marty G. Teele of Roanoke Rapids; brother and wife, Clifton Edward Borrell and Dorothy Borrell of Richmond; two grandchildren, Lisa Teele-Floyd of Roanoke Rapids and husband, Keith W. Floyd, and Christopher Mark Teele of Suffolk; brother-in-law, Elbert Norris of Gaston.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 1997, in Wrenn Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry J. Juren. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Rosemary United Methodist Church, 900 Jackson St., Roanoke Rapids, N.C. 27870.
