Man, 55, charged
with shooting his
brother to death
A 55-year-old man has been charged with the shooting death of his younger brother, police said Wednesday.
Keith Jones, 42, of the 700 block of Coach House Court in Princess Anne Plaza was found shot to death about 1:20 p.m. Monday.
Police said Wednesday that Jones was apparently involved in a dispute with his brother, James M. Collins, who lived at the same address.
Collins was initially held on outstanding warrants for attempted malicious wounding, shooting into an occupied dwelling and using a gun in commission of a felony. On Wednesday, new charges of first degree murder and an additional charge, using a gun in commission of a felony, were filed against him.
Pawn shop employee
dies of shooting wounds
A pawn shop employee who was found shot in a South Military Highway store Tuesday evening died of his wounds Wednesday, police said.
Joseph B. Haught, 65, of the 1200 block of Lilac Ave., was found by co-workers about 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken to the Trauma Center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died.
What preceded the shooting remains unclear, but police have not ruled out an attempted robbery.

At least two men sought
in jewelry store robbery
Police are looking for two men who, possibly with a third man, believed responsible for the robbery of J.C. Jewelers in the 2400 block of Cromwell Road last month and who may be connected with other crimes in the region.
Norfolk police released photographs of the two men on Wednesday night.
Damyel L. Harris, 21, who also uses the name ``Charles Harris,'' is wanted on charges of robbery and using a gun in commission of a felony. He is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has no known address.
Anthony M. Brown, 25, is also wanted for violation of probation.
He is also known as ``Ant'' and is described as black, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 150 pounds. He has no known address and may be with Harris.
The third man is described as black with a dark complexion, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 155 pounds. He may be growing dreadlocks. He, too, may be with Harris.
