The Norfolk Tides game Wednesday at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre was postponed due to cold weather and will be played as part of a doubleheader June 24.
The Tides also sent pitcher Bill Pulsipher, who is rehabilitating a surgically repaired elbow, to Port St. Lucie, Fla., to make a start in warmer weather. The Class A Port St. Lucie Mets were slated to play the Florida Marlins' Class A affiliate in Viera Wednesday night.
Pulsipher is expected to rejoin the Tides Friday in Norfolk.
The New York Mets are making all efforts to keep Pulsipher and Jason Isringhausen, also recovering from arm surgery, on schedules in which they pitch every five days. Both are on 30-day, major league rehabilitation assignments in the minor leagues.
Isringhausen is slated to pitch for the Tides when they play their home opener Friday night at Harbor Park.
