RICHARD L. DICKENS

Richard Lee ``Sam'' Dickens, of the 4900 block of Whitman Lane, died April 14, 1997, in his residence.

Born in Nash County, N.C., he was a retired longshoreman of ILA Local (NU)970. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose (NU)39, Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Eva V. Dickens; a daughter, Vicki and her husband, Jerry Jones, of Virginia Beach; a son, Dicki and his wife, Renee, of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Heather Lynn and her husband, Jeremy Davis, of Chesapeake, Kristan Lea Dickens, Zachary Ryan Dickens, both of Chesapeake, and Taylor Patrick Jones of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, by the Rev. Clark L. Mandigo. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Moose rites will be accorded at the funeral service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
