Oscar Perry Bunch, 86, of the 1400 block of W. Queen St. died Monday, April 14, 1997, in Chowan Hospital. A native of Chowan County, Mr. Bunch was a son of the late Richard G. and Mary Edna Waff Bunch. He was the husband of Mrs. Melba Chappell Bunch. Mr. Bunch was the retired owner/operator of Edenton Auto Parts and a U.S. veteran of World War II.
Surviving other than his wife are two stepsons, Cary W. DuBois of Tyner and John R. DuBois of Jupiter, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Bass, and two brothers, Edgar Bunch and Edward Bunch.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow in the Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church, 1004 Macedonia Road, Edenton, N.C. 27932 or Center Hill United Methodist Church, P.O.
