George Edward ``Junior'' or ``Piggy'' Wilson Jr., 24, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 12, 1997, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
George was a native of Chesapeake and a 1994 graduate of Deep Creek High School. He was employed at Chesapeake Vocational Center. He was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, where he sang with the Number 2 Choir.
Survivors include his beloved mother, Carol A. Blount; his father, George E. Wilson Sr.; his pop, Nehemiah Blount; his stepmother, Alfreda Wilson, all of Chesapeake; a sister, Renita L. Spencer of Virginia beach; two brothers, Keith E. Wilson of Houston, Texas, Timothy J. Wilson of Chesapeake; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Rebecca Wilson of Chesapeake; a niece, four nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his godmother, Mrs. Corine Moore.
George's funeral will be conducted Saturday at noon by the Rev. Walter Mitchell Sr. at New Mount Olive Baptist Church. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is handling arrangements. Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
