Erica Danielle Ruth, 17, died April 18, 1997, in her residence.

Erica was a student at Lafayette High School, Williamsburg. She was an avid soccer player, who also loved playing the flute, the oboe, and also loved animals. She was a former student of the Maryann School of Dance, Chesapeake.

She is survived by her father, Dane Michael Ruth and his wife, Dianne, of Virginia Beach; her mother, Roxie Ruth of Williamsburg; her grandparents, Paul and Florence Ruth of Renovo, Pa., Hobson Johnson of Natural Bridge Station, Va., and Frances Williams of Concord, N.C; a brother, Brandon Ruth of Williamsburg; two stepsisters, Jenny Graf of Chesapeake, Anna Kelley of Virginia Beach; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel. A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home by Chaplain Scott Davis. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
