Clyde Emory Lane Jr., 54, of the 6600 block of Mongul Court, died suddenly Monday evening, April 21, 1997, in Princeton Hospital, Orlando.
A native of Perquimans County, he was the husband of Fay Mathews Lane and the son of Daisy Matthews and Clyde E. Lane Sr. of Hertford, N.C. He was a loan contractor with a brokerage handling government loans and a member of Up River Friends Meeting, Belvidere.
Besides his wife and parents, survivors include a daughter, Sherry Denning of Angier, N.C.; two sons, Donald Emory Lane of Tampa, Fla., Danny Lee Lane of Orlando; two stepsons, Don Lindy and Mark Lindy, both of Orlando; two sisters, Joyce L. Whedbee of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Kathy L. Girardi of Edenton, N.C.; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in Up River Cemetery, Belvidere, by the Rev. Jon Reece. Swindell Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
