KATHERINE M. BRUSO

Katherine M. Bruso, 86, died April 22, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

The widow of Gustine M. Bruso, she was a Catholic and a native of Buffalo, N.Y.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Salamat and her husband, Khodabakhsh, of Fort Myers, Fla., Susan B. Leta and her husband, Ronald, of Chesapeake; a son, John M. Bruso of Chicago; a sister, Betty Popalisky of Florence, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Katherine Jackson, Sharon Salamat, William Taylor, Maureen Salamat, Christopher Taylor, Kevin Salamat, Scott Leta, Mark Leta and Jason Leta; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Multach, Alexandra Salamat, Nathan Turner. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Taylor.

A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by Father Leo Manalo. Visitation will follow until 8 p.m. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
