Elizabeth Widener Barbe, 75, of the 3500 block of Tennessee Ave., died April 23, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Born in Chilhowie, Va., she was the widow of Harold C. Barbe and a retired inventory clerk with the Naval Supply Center. She was a member of AARP, URW and the Beta Club while in high school.
Survivors include a son, Ronald H. Barbe of Norfolk; two half-sisters, Mable F. Russell of Salem, Va., and Margaret T. Russell of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two grandchildren, Justin C. Barbe and Briana F. Barbe, both of Erma, N.J.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. John F. Shappell. Burial will in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
