AVIS W. CAVELLI

Avis Waller Cavelli, 85, formerly of Virginia Beach and Poquoson, died Wednesday, April 23, 1997, in St. Francis Nursing Center, Newport News.

Mrs. Cavelli was born in Ettrick, Va., a daughter of the late Allie Manning and Cora Estelle Dyer Waller. She was the retired owner of the Dinwiddie Motel and was a member of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Phillip Cavelli.

She is survived by a brother, Rudy Waller of Ettrick; a sister, Mary Carrington of Augusta, Ga.; a nephew, Michael F. Cavelli Jr. of Newport News; five nieces and three nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Cemetery by the Rev. James H. Blankenship, pastor of Ettrick United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morris and Son Funeral Home for two hours prior to the service. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
