The Action Alliance for Virginia's Children and Youth will host a public forum to gather citizen concerns about children and youth today , from 4 to 6 p.m.
The event will be at Virginia Wesleyan University's Hofheimer Theater.
This is one of five forums to be held statewide by the Action Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advocates for children. Parents, educators, clergy, business leaders, professionals in agencies serving children, and other concerned citizens are encouraged to attend.
The comments will shape the organization's ``Children's Agenda,'' which will address needs of children and youth in fall political campaigns.

Parents who show how they make the library part of their children's lives can win a grand prize of $20,000 toward college for their child. A multimedia computer system will be awarded to a winner in every state.

CBN marriage
conference May 15
CBN Ministry Events will present ``The Language of Love,'' a marriage conference focusing on communication in marriage May 15 through 18.
The conference will be held at The Founders Inn and Conference Center on the Christian Broadcasting Network grounds, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach.
Featured speakers will be Fred and Anna Kendall from Dallas, Texas, who are founders of the Family Restoration Network, Life Languages Institute and authors of ``Speaking of Love.''
The registration fee for the conference is $249. The fee includes 20 hours of teaching, panel discussions, testimonies of healed marriages, two luncheons with keynote speakers and a special sweetheart reception. The Founders Inn and Conference Center will offer participants a special room rate.
