James Ashton Dresh, 71, of the 1000 block of Warwick Ave., died April 28, 1997, in his residence.
A retired electroplater, he was a member of Elks Lodge (NU)38.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce M. Dresh; two daughters, Charlene Underwood of Norfolk, Vickie Gatten of Lynchburg, and adopted daughter, Susan Cason; a son, Glenn A. Dresh of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Christie Underwood, Eric Gatten, Daniel Gatten and Aaron Gatten.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Beck and Pastor Rick Gatten. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
