WALTER JOHNSON

Walter ``Slow Drag'' Johnson of the 1100 block of Park Ave. died April 25, 1997, in a Norfolk hospital.

A Norfolk native, he was a member of ILA Local 1458.

Survivors include a son, Walter Johnson Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Maurice V. Aughan of Norfolk, Mary Dooley of Philadelphia; two brothers, Alvin Gregory of Oxen Hill, Md., Fenton Johnson of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Lutheran Church, Portsmouth, by Minister Ernestine Burton. A wake service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hale Funeral Home.
