Beulah Holland Beaton, 99, of the 4400 block of Columbia St. died May 3, 1997, in Norfolk. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of David Oscar Beaton and a seamstress. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church, Faithful Workers Class, Portsmouth Social Club, Beazley's Senior Citizens and Women's Missionary Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Smelser, and her husband, Albert, of Chesapeake; a grandchild, Anna Corey, and her husband, Thomas, of Concord, N.C.; and two great-grandchildren, Kelly and Thomas Corey.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Revs. John Burr and W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
