Lucie Elizabeth Moorman, 80, died Saturday, May 3, 1997.
Miss Moorman was born May 15, 1916, at Charlotte Court House, Va., the daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Maud Winston Moorman. She was a retired registered dietitian at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C.
She is survived by two sisters, Sarah Moorman Roberts of Culpepper and Ruby Moorman Stewart of Kilmarnock; her nieces, Betty Lacy Lyle LeGard, Mary Elizabeth Stewart and Margaret Stewart Gilman; her nephews, William J. Lyle III, Robert L. Puffer, Thomas M. Puffer, Frank B. Puffer, Charles M. Puffer, John W. Puffer, Bruce S. Puffer and their families. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Lee Moorman White Sr. of Franklin, husband of Mary Dansey White.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at the High Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Edward Johnson. The family will receive friends at the Village at Woods Edge immediately following the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
