HAROLD M. BROOKINS SR.

The Rev. Harold Mason Brookins Sr., of the 1800 block of Bracey St., died May 8, 1997, in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton.

Born in Richmond, Va., he retired as an engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a Baptist, member of WTJZ Radio Prayer Partners and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Susie L. Brookins; three daughters, a son, two stepsons, three stepdaughters, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. by the Rev. James E. Williams. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Tuesday at 3 p.m. The family will be at the residence for the procession at 10 a.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
