FLAVIUS A. CLARY

Flavius Adkins Clary, 82, of the 2400 block of Bruce St. died May 12, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Clary was a native of Brunswick County, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his three sisters, Ruby C. Hamill, Hazel C. McInnery, Addlee C. Wood; and his brother, Falkin Clary. He retired from the Merchant Marine after 30 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Avis Viola Clary; two stepsons, Callie L. Miller Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Norfolk, Joseph C. Miller and his wife, Doris, of Virginia Beach; and his niece, Shirley C. Rogerson of Dinwiddie, Va., as well as several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. John Dean.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
