FLOSSIE WHITEHURST

Flossie Whitehurst, of the 700 block of W. 37th St., died May 12, 1997, in her residence.

A native of North Carolina, she was the widow of James Whitehurst and was a retired presser for Albano's Cleaners. She was a member of Cathedral of Faith C.O.G.I.C.

Survivors include her husband, James Whitehurst; a god daughter, Hazel Lowry of Norfolk; a god son, Dwight Perry of Norfolk; and a host of friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cathedral of Faith C.O.G.I.C. by the Rev. G. Wesley Hardy. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at 720 W. 37th St. at 10 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A.
