CATHERINE M. MARSHALL

Catherine M. Marshall, 66, died Wednesday, May 14, 1997, in DePaul Hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Luther B. and Lottie A. Marshall.

She graduated from Granby High School and the Norfolk division of the College of William and Mary.

She is survived by Rose Marie Staggs of Virginia Beach, as well as many cousins and loving neighbors and friends.

Catherine lived in both San Francisco and San Diego, Calif., and in Chicago, Ill., for 25 years, working for numerous government and civilian organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Convair-Astronautics, American Red Cross, and Arthur Rubloff Advertising Agency. She also worked at WAVY-TV in this area. She retired in 1983 in Norfolk.

Being generous, compassionate and outgoing, she had a natural love for people and new places. She traveled extensively during her lifetime, including several long periods in Europe and South America, as well as to various places in Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii, and of course, the U.S.

A memorial service will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. If desired, memorial donations may be made to preferred charities. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
