LARRY CHAMBLEY

Larry Chambley, 76, formerly of Portsmouth, died May 10, 1997, in his home in Cape Coral, Fla.

He retired from U.E.R.D. after 36 years of Civil Service and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 7131, V.F.W. 8463 and the American Legion 90 in Cape Coral.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; daughter, Mary Lee Williams and her husband, Billy, and son Jerry E. Chambley; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Shea Chambley, and children Phillip Chambley and Sara C. Friedlin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Thomas B. Nee. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 130 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, Fla. 33990 or to a charity of choice. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
