Herman J. Bloom, 54, a retired logistics engineer and veteran of the U.S. Navy, died May 18, 1997, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Bloom was a native of Binghamton, N.Y. He was a member and was very active in Beth Chaverim in Virginia Beach. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Bloom and was predeceased by a brother, Nathan Bloom.
Survivors include his wife, Reesa Bloom; a son, Paul Sean Bloom, both of Virginia Beach; one brother, Gordon Bloom of Binghamton; one sister, Beverly Miller of Deposit, N.Y.; one uncle, Irving Kater of Bethesda, Md.; one aunt, Etta Bloom of Norfolk; and several cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 21, 1997 at the King David section of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Rabbi Israel Zoberman with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at their home following graveside services, 2613 Killey Court, Virginia Beach.
