Raymond Wilson Lanier, 84, of Essex Circle, died May 18, 1997.
Mr. Lanier, a native of Creeksville, N.C., was a retired bus driver from Metro Transit Co. and a member of Norview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Martin Lanier; three daughters, Joan Gorski, Phyllis R. Workman and Dianne Elliott, all of Virginia Beach; four sisters, two brothers, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rosewood Memorial Park. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
