ROSALEE F. STEWART

Rosalee Rose Ferris Stewart, 80, of the 600 block of Lord Dunmore Drive, died May 21, 1997, in Norfolk.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years of marriage, Floyd A. Stewart, who died on April 23, 1997.

She was born in Utica, N.Y., to Anna Saliba and Samuel Ferris who preceded her in death. Her life was dedicated to her family. The majority of her life was lived in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where she was a member of St. Frances Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra S. Obi of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Ferris M. Stewart and wife, Elaine of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren, Jacquie, Amanda and Jake Obi, Jason, Sarah and David Stewart. Survivors also include two great-grandchildren, Parker and Gregory Stewart and two sisters, Adeline Maloof of Copperhill, Tenn., Evon Roni of Santa Clara, Calif.

A Christian Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Church of the Ascension, Virginia Beach, by Fr. James E. Parke. A visitation will be held at 5 p.m. today in the church. Burial will be in Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery, Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Jennifer Braun Memorial Cancer Fund, 784 Deer Lake Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
