Helen Estelle Corbitt, 88, of the 3900 block of Race St., died Friday, May 30, 1997, in a local hospital.
A native of Nansemond County, she was the widow of Fitzhugh Lee Corbitt Sr. and a member of Western Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Fitzhugh Lee Corbitt Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of Portsmouth; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. George F. Mullinax. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
